ONE (1) Spore Print of Psilocybe cyanescens from the coast of Western Oregon. These were collected in the Tillamook Bay approximately 10 feet above sea level. This collection was a mix of canary grass and low-lying coastal shrubs. They tended to like being tucked away for longer periods of time to do their own thing, than to flush in huge numbers on anything in sight. It was abundantly clear to me that these fungi have been there for quite some time, and they had infested all of the nearby trees, sedge, scot's broom and grasses. These were collected in one of the older places of Tillamook with light landscaping as opposed to your traditional habitat engineered 50 years ago.
It would be fair to say these are about as 'Oregon' as this species of mushrooms gets. There is an area in NW Oregon that has cyans that grow the same way but I firmly believe these to be heartier, older, more established and just generally better mushrooms.
They are, quite possibly, some of the nicest genetics in regards to what I believe my customers are looking for when they purchase these collections.
I'm certain you'll enjoy. Thank you for joining us on our journey!
Note: Print orders come with complimentary mask, swabs, and gloves. We want you to succeed in all aspects of your studies just as much as you do :-)
Smaller Choice are nickel-to-dime sized, XXL falls around half-dollar sized, and the massive specimens hardly fit inside the palm of my hand or my hat. They are quite possibly the biggest cyans I've ever offered. Choice prints are chosen for their quality, color, cleanliness, symmetry, smell, age, water content, reaction to hydrogen peroxide and aesthetic qualities. The choice prints of this collection make up approximately 5% of the prints taken.
